About The Position

Keystone Precision Solutions (KPS) is hiring a Sales Consultant to own and grow our customer base across Connecticut and Rhode Island. This role is ideal for individuals with experience as a surveyor, survey technician, or GIS professional who possess a talent for building relationships and explaining complex tools. The position involves being in the field, meeting clients, understanding their challenges, and demonstrating how KPS solutions, including Trimble instruments and geospatial software, can improve their work and profitability. This is a relationship-first role where technical credibility is key, distinct from an inside sales position. KPS has been a partner for survey, construction, and engineering professionals in the Northeastern United States for over 37 years, serving as an authorized Trimble dealer and solutions provider focused on helping teams work smarter, faster, and more precisely.

Requirements

  • Industry experience as a surveyor, survey technician (field or office), or GIS professional (this is not required but highly valued).
  • Proven sales track record including prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Comfort with CRM tools (Salesforce or Sage CRM experience is a plus) and standard office software (MS Office, Teams).
  • Self-motivated and organized with the ability to manage one's own schedule and territory.
  • Willingness to travel 60%+ throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting new accounts through networking, referrals, and industry knowledge within the CT/RI survey, engineering, and construction markets.
  • Conducting live demonstrations of Trimble instruments and geospatial software on client sites.
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing deals, including generating quotes and negotiating terms.
  • Representing KPS in the region by building trust and fostering long-term customer relationships.
  • Providing first-level technical support and problem-solving for customers post-sale.
  • Connecting customers with appropriate internal resources when needed.
  • Participating in ongoing Trimble and manufacturer training programs.
