About The Position

Advanced Heat Treat Corp. (AHT) is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Technical Sales Associate to join their values-driven, family-owned company. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys the pace of a nimble company and is looking to attract, engage, manage, and build relationships with new and existing customers. The position is based in Waterloo, Iowa, and reports to the Sales Team Manager. AHT is a leader in the heat treat industry with over 44 years of experience and a mission to exceed expectations with "UltraGlowing Results." They serve various industries including agriculture, construction, and automotive, offering specialized treatments like the ULTRAGLOW surface treatment process. AHT has four facilities and holds ISO/TS16949, FFL, and NADCAP certifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technical field preferred.
  • 3+ years in industrial customer service or sales.

Responsibilities

  • Be a key cross-functional contributor and collaborative member of the Sales and Marketing team.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and follow up on leads provided from website traffic, email and direct mail campaigns, etc.
  • Ensure pricing of all products meets expected profit margin and adjust pricing based on competition, supply and demand, etc.
  • Attend occasional tradeshows or conferences to develop leads and continue professional growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through in-person visits, email, phone calls, etc.
  • Manage effective customer communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze statistics or other data from the CRM system to identify opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the operations manager to ensure orders are delivered and exceed customer expectations.
