About The Position

We are seeking an energetic intern with an interest in technical sales to support our Cement division. This role bridges commercial strategy, logistics planning, material performance, and customer operations. You will gain hands-on experience in how cement moves from production to market, helping optimize our supply chain efficiency while supporting regional sales strategy. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning June 1, 2027, based in Franklin, TN.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Civil Engineering, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, Concrete Industry Management, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance
  • Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
  • Willingness to travel to surrounding states for site and customer visits, with the potential for overnight travel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.
  • A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to spend significant time in the field and on the road, gaining hands-on experience and firsthand knowledge of our business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze logistics networks, dispatch scheduling, and material movement (truck, rail, barge) to identify opportunities for route optimization, cost reduction, and timely delivery of aggregate products.
  • Evaluate regional market trends, construction project pipelines, and competitor positioning to support product pricing strategies and sales growth.
  • Join sales account managers on client visits and site tours and customer job sites to understand customer needs and build relationship-management skills.
  • Collaborate with plant operations and sales teams to align product inventory levels with commercial sales forecasts, mitigating supply bottlenecks.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with Amrize standards.
  • Utilize a range of skills and knowledge in day-to-day operations, working collaboratively to achieve team and company goals.
  • At the end of your internship, you'll present your learnings and contributions to our executive leadership team.
