About The Position

Quadra’s Mining Technical team partners with customers to enhance operational performance, optimize processes, and maximize value through technical expertise, innovative solutions, and hands-on support. The Technical Representative – Mining Group is responsible for supporting mining customers across Western Canada by providing on-site and remote technical expertise related to process optimization, product performance, and operational troubleshooting. Acting as a trusted Technical Representative in the Mining Group, this individual works closely with customers to identify opportunities for improvement, implement value-added solutions, and ensure the successful application of Quadra’s products and technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of mining operations and processes while collaborating with internal technical, sales, and supplier teams. The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with a customer-focused approach to build long-term relationships and drive sustainable results for our customers. Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exposure to mining, mineral processing, or industrial process environments is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with flotation, grinding, mineral separation, water treatment, or other mineral processing operations is an asset.
  • Experience with flotation circuits, mineral separation processes, metallurgical laboratories, mining operations, or processing plant environments is considered an asset.
  • Exposure to process optimization initiatives, product evaluations, or field trials is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data analysis tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50% across the assigned territory.
  • Strong interest in mining processes, mineral processing, and industrial chemical applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply technical concepts in field and operational environments.
  • Hands-on, customer-focused approach with a willingness to work in industrial and remote mining settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prepare clear and structured technical reports.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to mining customers with a focus on process optimization, product performance, and operational excellence.
  • Participate in on-site technical visits and field evaluations to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • Support troubleshooting, optimization initiatives, and performance assessments across key mining processes and unit operations, including flotation and other mineral separation systems.
  • Assist in the execution of technical programs, including site surveys, process evaluations, product screenings, application assessments, and data collection activities.
  • Analyze operational data and contribute to the identification of process variability, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare clear and concise technical reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and actionable insights for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to support product trials, field testing, and performance validation activities.
  • Monitor and document trial results, ensuring accurate reporting of operational performance and project outcomes.
  • Partner with Account Managers and technical colleagues to develop and deliver customer-focused solutions and value-creation initiatives.
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical presentations, and field discussions to strengthen customer relationships and support business growth.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and technical activities within the CRM system.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical tools, processes, and best practices while actively participating in knowledge-sharing and professional development initiatives.
