Why this role matters We are hiring our first dedicated Technical Recruiter to build and scale engineering and technical hiring across the company. As we accelerate our product roadmap and expand nationally, this role will be instrumental in hiring the engineering, data, and product talent responsible for building our core platform that powers the family caregiving experience. You will work closely with our Head of Engineering and Head of Product to shape technical hiring strategy, define processes, and own execution end-to-end. Your work will directly impact product velocity, operational efficiency, and our ability to scale our impact. Clear path to grow into leading technical recruiting or owning the entire technical talent function. You will help shape Abby Care’s technical hiring brand, messaging, and outbound strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience (engineering, product, data).
  • Proven ability to source and close senior technical talent in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
  • Strong understanding of engineering concepts, stacks, architectures, and product development cycles.
  • Experience running 8–10+ active technical requisitions simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage complex processes.
  • Metrics-driven with a focus on throughput, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • High ownership mindset, low ego, and ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

  • Build and Scale Technical Hiring
  • Hire across engineering (backend, full-stack, infrastructure, AI/ML), product, data science/analytics, design, and technical operations.
  • Build a predictable, multi-channel sourcing engine tailored to technical talent.
  • Design interview loops, technical assessments, scorecards, and a consistent, high-signal evaluation process.
  • Own full-cycle technical recruiting, ensuring speed, quality, and strong candidate experience.
  • Partner with Leadership
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product leadership to define role priorities, headcount needs, and hiring plans.
  • Drive weekly technical pipeline reviews and shape prioritization decisions.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to technical leaders and hiring managers.
  • Build the Abby Care Technical Talent Brand
  • Craft compelling outbound messaging that highlights Abby Care’s engineering challenges, mission, and scale.
  • Develop content that resonates with senior technical talent and differentiates Abby Care in a competitive market.
  • Support community engagement, tech events, and targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Close Top Engineering Talent
  • Navigate technical comp, equity, and market dynamics with deep credibility.
  • Build strong candidate relationships and deliver a fast, transparent process.
  • Shape offer strategy in partnership with HR and technical leadership.
