About The Position

Divergent is building the new industrial age by designing, manufacturing, and assembling advanced systems for demanding industries. Their integrated engineering and manufacturing platform transforms complex designs into production-ready solutions. Divergent is a qualified Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs and supports leading U.S. aerospace and defense companies. This role is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days onsite per week in Torrance, CA. As a Recruiter, you will be a force multiplier across the organization, owning full-cycle recruitment for high-impact roles in engineering, manufacturing, operations, and business functions. You will partner directly with hiring managers and leadership to drive proactive hiring strategies and ensure the attraction and closing of top-tier talent. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and can balance high-volume tactical execution with strategic hiring advisory.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, including both technical (engineering, software, manufacturing) and non-technical (G&A, operations) roles
  • Experience recruiting in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments, with an understanding of the unique hiring requirements for those industries
  • Experience operating in a high-growth, high-performance, or startup environment where talent quality is non-negotiable
  • Proven ability to run multiple searches in parallel and maintain exceptional candidate and stakeholder communication
  • Strong sourcing and closing skills, especially with passive talent
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using ATS platforms (e.g., Greenhouse) and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and sound judgment
  • Bias for action—you move quickly, stay organized, and deliver without constant direction

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for a wide range of roles—from mechanical, software, and robotics engineers to finance, supply chain, program management, and operations positions
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to define roles, craft job descriptions, and align on recruiting strategies
  • Source and engage high-caliber candidates across active and passive channels, leveraging tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, and your network
  • Run structured, high-integrity interview processes that assess for both skill and team fit
  • Deliver a high-touch, white-glove candidate experience from first outreach to close
  • Work cross-functionally with People Ops, IT, and hiring teams to improve tools, workflows, and reporting
  • Track and report recruiting metrics and hiring outcomes to inform continuous improvement
  • Support employer brand initiatives including events, online presence, and employee referrals
