About The Position

Toromont Cat is seeking a permanent, full-time Technical Recruiter, Skilled Trades to hire skilled trade workers such as Heavy Equipment Technicians / Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics, Welders, and Machinists. This role is crucial for Toromont’s business growth, with accountability to drive skilled trades recruiting KPIs by effectively sourcing, recommending, and influencing successful hiring outcomes.

Requirements

3 – 5 years of experience recruiting for Heavy Equipment Mechanics / Technicians and related skilled trades
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar
Experience with UKG / Ultipro Recruiting module
English written and spoken

Nice To Haves

Heavy Equipment Dealership recruiting experience is an asset
A post-graduate certificate in Human Resources or similar designation is an asset
A skilled trades license (421A; 310T is an asset)
Bilingual (English / French) is an asset

Responsibilities

Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy workplace behaviours at all times
Proactively source skilled trade workers through various strategies and initiatives to meet Toromont’s annual recruiting goals; conduct pre-screens and behaviour based interviews.
Manage background checks and behavioural assessments to completion for hires.
Leverage our ATS (UKG / UltiPro) and other data tracking tools in a timely manner to capture and all recruiting activity for effective reporting.
Deliver a superior customer experience to all customers and stakeholders
Undertake other relevant assignments as required in support of the business
