About The Position

KF Aerospace has a long and successful history of providing top quality service in the aerospace industry. At our facility in Southport Manitoba, we proudly support the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) by providing state-of the –art Pilot training now and into the future with the new FAcT (Future Aircrew Training) program extending our contract for another 25+ years. This term position would be an excellent opportunity to get professional, on the job training for a valuable and essential role supporting the RCAF.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional ability to focus and minimize distractions
  • Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and part of a team
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Works and Government Services Enhanced Reliability Clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel to Kelowna if necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Records, Accounting, or Business Administration training an asset
  • Previous work experience in an aviation and/or parts environment would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Updates for all aircraft engines and prop logs
  • Updates for all Component History Cards
  • Maintain Technical Library (updates, circulations, filing, etc.)
  • Data entry of the following information into company systems: Aircraft airtimes & cycles from journey log books, Inspections, Removal and installation of components, Defects, Update Airworthiness Reports on components
  • Audit journey logs daily for accuracy, defects, and serviceability
  • Prepare aircraft dispatch list
  • Prepare fleet status report and forward to select personnel
  • Update fleet status information
  • Ensuring requested documents are prepared and delivered in a timely manner
  • Respond to Aircraft mechanics, pilots, and students’ questions and requests in a timely, professional, and effective manner
