About The Position

The Technical Records Analyst is responsible for maintaining, reviewing, auditing, and controlling aircraft maintenance, engineering, and materials records to support the continued airworthiness and regulatory compliance of the company's fleet. This position ensures maintenance performed on company aircraft is properly documented and that all required records are accurate, complete, and compliant with the airline's Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 18 months of office or administrative experience in a role of similar pace and complexity; experience in a highly regulated environment preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong and accurate data entry skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize Multi-Document Interface (MDI) applications.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from mechanics, managers, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to read, write, and prepare reports and business correspondence in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret regulatory information, including Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations using spreadsheets, databases, and calculators.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating formulas and performing data analysis in Excel preferred.
  • Prior database experience, including Microsoft Access, is highly desirable.
  • Previous records auditing experience preferred.
  • Airline maintenance records experience or familiarity with airline maintenance policies and procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review completed aircraft maintenance records for accuracy, completeness, legibility, required signatures, dates, aircraft/component identification, and appropriate maintenance references.
  • Audit maintenance packages, work cards, task cards, engineering orders, non-routine work, inspection documentation, and other maintenance records for compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Verify documentation supporting Airworthiness Directive (AD) compliance, life-limited parts, inspection requirements, alterations, repairs, and other continuing airworthiness requirements.
  • Maintain historical and current records for aircraft, engines, landing gear, APUs, and other serialized or controlled components.
  • Research and reconcile discrepancies between maintenance requirements and the company's maintenance information and tracking systems (e.g., TRAX, Excel, and other databases).
  • Validate and audit maintenance accomplishment data within electronic maintenance and records systems.
  • Coordinate correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or conflicting maintenance documentation with Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, Quality Control, Materials, and other departments.
  • Ensure records requiring permanent or specified retention periods are properly indexed, stored, protected, and readily retrievable.
  • Protect aircraft records from loss, damage, or unauthorized alteration by following company records management procedures.
  • Monitor records queues and outstanding discrepancies to ensure documentation is completed within established company and regulatory timeframes.
  • Review records received from third-party vendors and maintenance providers for completeness and acceptability.
  • Assist with aircraft configuration tracking and component history research, including installation/removal histories and time/cycle data.
  • Support records reviews related to aircraft induction, acquisition, transfer, sale, or lease return activities.
  • Assist the Manager, Technical Records with preparation and retrieval of records for inspections, internal and external audits, reliability reviews, and compliance activities.
  • Maintain familiarity with applicable company manuals, maintenance programs, regulatory requirements, and Technical Operations procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
