The Technical Records Co-Op position manages, audits, and digitizes technical documentation, primarily in aviation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., Transport Canada). They update maintenance tracking systems, manage aircraft records boxes and support records teams to maintain airworthiness records.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to new priorities throughout the day
  • Computer proficiency required, particularly with MS Office Suite/SharePoint
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving operational environment.
  • Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in auditing errors or missing documents.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, digitize, and maintain aircraft technical records, including journey logs, engine logs, and modification/repair records.
  • Scan inbound aircraft documentation, (i.e.: Aircraft Log-sheets, check packages, scheduled and unscheduled task cards, etc.) for completeness and accuracy.
  • Audit, update and control the MRO/AMO heavy maintenance records and ensure they are compliant with industry technical records standards.
  • Maintain separation of third-party filings while ensuring records within our care & custody are managed with equal rigor and attention to detail.
  • Capture and trend Technical Records errors encountered as you maintain this control.
  • Accurate update and entry of Service Bulletin, Airworthiness Directives, and Life-Limited Part technical data into maintenance tracking software.
  • Assist production managers, planners and QA personnel by providing records for audits and/or maintenance planning.
  • Manage and ensure aircraft records boxes are audited, clearly labelled and packed and ready for customers/ stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
