About The Position

Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced Technical Publications and Business Development Manager to lead the Technical Publications & Business Development Operations (TechPubs & BD Ops) Team. This team is responsible for creating and publishing a variety of technical communications products to support Rincon's digital signal processing and communications systems, which are delivered to national intelligence agencies and the Department of Defense. Rincon is a mission-oriented company that supports national security. Employees work in small, interdisciplinary teams, allowing for significant responsibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-oriented culture with intelligent and dedicated colleagues.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Scientific & Technical Communication, Technical Writing, or related writing or technology-oriented discipline
  • Experience balancing leadership and hands-on execution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Proficiency in Windows environment
  • Ability to assimilate complex information quickly and translate it into appropriate products for the intended audience
  • Excellent writing fundamentals, including impeccable skills in finding and fixing errors in grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure
  • Ability and willingness to work full-time in a Rincon facility office

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SharePoint, GitLab, or similar configuration control and document management systems
  • Familiarity with manipulating PDF files in Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Familiarity with graphics-development tools, such as Photoshop, Visio, Gimp, etc.
  • Familiarity with Linux command line and environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Business Development Operations center, managing teams in generating Federal Government market surveys, white papers, and proposals from bid decision through award.
  • Perform production edits and proofreading, including self-editing, and be receptive to constructive feedback.
  • Integrate into various teams to collaborate on software and engineering development projects to produce and maintain documentation suites (user guides, quick-start guides, training materials, hardware supplements, software and maintenance manuals, test plans and procedures).
  • Create technical briefings, technical reports, manuals, and marketing materials for high-performance electronic hardware.
  • Operate in an interrupt-driven environment, manage concurrent tasks, and perform administrative duties like maintaining calendars and tracking sheets.
  • Supervise, direct, train, mentor, and evaluate team employees.
