Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; advanced degree (MS/MBA) preferred.
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, repair operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, including planning, execution, and performance tracking.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and coordinating resources across teams.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and awareness of market/competitive factors.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.
  • Ability to work independently within broad guidelines while driving results across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform manufacturing engineering and repair activities for Applied Material's new repair center in Chandler, AZ.
  • Develop and execute project plans, ensuring successful delivery from planning through implementation.
  • Track and drive project deliverables using reports, tracking tools, and checklists.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources within the business unit to achieve on-time and within-budget project performance.
  • Monitor project cost performance and provide regular updates to the business unit.
  • Participate in cross-functional design teams to support technical project execution and contribute to overall team development.
  • Identify and analyze project risks, obstacles, and root causes; implement solutions to resolve issues effectively.
  • Maintain and improve process performance metrics, including tracking matrices to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced team members; may lead small to medium-sized projects.
  • Communicate complex or sensitive technical information clearly and build alignment across stakeholders.
