At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission — you’ll define it. Peraton is seeking a dynamic and technically focused Technical Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. In this role you will lead backlog management, stakeholder engagement, and agile execution to ensure program alignment. Whether you’re supporting safety validation efforts or leading teams on major FAA programs, your work will directly impact the millions of passengers and aviation professionals who rely on safe, efficient airspace operations every day. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at translating technical information for non-technical stakeholders. In this position, you will: Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, aligning project goals and expectations. Track and document project phases, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion. Coordinate equipment deliveries, vendor installations, and Contractor Acceptance Inspections (CAI). Validate installation completion, new system cutover, and successful CAI with vendors. Oversee vendors and contractors to align delivery and installation schedules. Coordinate handoff and disposition activities for legacy equipment. Maintain administrative documentation, including meeting minutes, change logs, RFI processes, and technical status reports. Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation or contingency plans. The NAS is one of the world’s most sophisticated and high-stakes infrastructures. Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience or Masters degree and 6 years or Associate’s degree and 10 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, acting as a translator between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Expertise in project control, including scheduling, tracking milestones (Gantt charts), and monitoring budgets.
  • Strong administrative and documentation skills, including meeting notes, change logs, RFIs, and status reporting.
  • Analytical problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with or for the FAA, DOT, or state aviation authorities.
  • Prior experience supporting FAA NextGen, NAS modernization, or federal aviation strategy programs.
  • Experience in coordinating technical system installations and equipment cutovers.
  • Familiarity with Contractor Acceptance Inspections and legacy system disposition.
  • Proficiency with project management software and reporting tools.
