We serve over 1,000,000 business leaders and 6,500 accounting firms. This role is crucial as over 6,500 accounting firms have migrated to Pennylane, entrusting us with their core business. The Technical Project Manager (or Partner Solution Architect) is responsible for the technical and operational success of migrating accounting firms to Pennylane, ensuring efficient and rapid data migration and system setup.

Requirements

Project Management: Rigorous methodology, ability to manage priorities and crisis situations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, basic Python knowledge, understanding of APIs and SaaS architectures (must-have).
Business Acumen: Understanding of accounting flows (FEC, VAT, balances) to anticipate firm needs (nice-to-have).
Soft Skills: Emotional intelligence (diplomacy and impact under pressure), analytical thinking (natural problem-solver), cross-functional communication (aligning stakeholders with divergent interests).

Responsibilities

Project Management of Migration Projects: Define the technical scope with the firm (source software, data volume, business specifics), coordinate internal and external stakeholders, ensure data migration within the 5-day deadline, and provide post-migration support for smooth adoption.
Technical Expertise & Industrialization: Audit data quality to minimize production failures, act as a technical point of reference for firms (SSO, API integration), and develop tools, scripts (Python/SQL), or documentation to automate repetitive tasks.
Consulting & Posture: Maintain project scope, propose alternatives for complex cases, explain technical challenges to accounting professionals, and provide feedback to product teams to influence the technical roadmap.
