About The Position

Keel was formed by bringing together three industry leaders combining generations of hands-on expertise in steel fabrication, shipbuilding, aerospace, and defense manufacturing. We build ships, defense systems, aerospace components, and heavy steel structures that serve critical missions — and we do it with pride. The ideal candidate should have broad IT project-management experience and be comfortable working with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership. They must also have hands-on experience managing and supporting an ERP system in a production environment. Experience with IFS ERP is highly preferred, as the role will involve projects impacting the ERP and related business systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related field equivalent experience.
  • 5+ Experience managing complex IT projects, risks, schedules, resources, and vendors.
  • Production ERP experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of applications, infrastructure, data, integrations, and business systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, leadership, and vendors.
  • Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, consultants, and technology partners.

Nice To Haves

  • IFS ERP experience, especially administering, supporting, upgrading, implementing, or integrating IFS.
  • PMP/PMI-ACP/ITIL certifications and Agile/Waterfall/Scrum experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, budgets, and priorities.
  • Coordinating IT teams, business departments, vendors, and consultants.
  • Managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and resources.
  • Leading meetings and keeping stakeholders and leadership informed.
  • Ensuring proper testing, documentation, communication, change management, and deployment.
  • Holding vendors and consultants accountable for deliverables.
  • Improving project-management processes and standards across the organization.
  • Manage projects across various enterprise technology areas.
  • Oversee ERP and business application implementations and upgrades.
  • Manage system integrations, APIs, and application development projects.
  • Lead infrastructure, cloud, and technology migration initiatives.
  • Support data, databases, reporting, and analytics projects.
  • Manage cybersecurity and technology risk initiatives.
  • Lead process automation and digital transformation projects.
  • Coordinate vendor implementations and technology partnerships.
  • Manage ERP enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and migrations.
  • Work with ERP users and business teams to understand needs and requirements.
  • Support the ongoing management and maintenance of the ERP system.
  • Coordinate with IT teams, ERP specialists, vendors, and consultants to resolve issues and improve the system.
  • Oversee ERP testing, releases, deployments, and post-implementation support.
  • Understand how the ERP connects with other applications, databases, infrastructure, and reporting systems.
  • Maintain ERP documentation, processes, and technical information.
  • Evaluate ERP changes based on business value, cost, risk, technical feasibility, and resources.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
