This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of integration manufacturing professionals, you will play a key role in New Product Introduction for New Glenn rocket. To be successful, you must combine superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly using lean and efficient project management tools. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent technical field
  • 3 years of technical program management experience in aerospace NPI development and manufacturing including fabrication, integration and testing of components
  • Experience managing complex projects with many customers, cross-organizational programs and the ability to build sustainable processes, executing aggressive schedules, hold teams and individuals accountable to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects with multiple cross-team customers, to delivery and completion
  • Procure and manage project funding throughout each project phase
  • Experience driving multiple products through a complete development and/or manufacturing lifecycle
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals, including the ability to succinctly present and explain design and manufacturing status to top leadership and/or government officials
  • Knowledge of the troubleshooting process with the ability to quickly understand the defect data and swiftly inform stakeholders of the recovery plan
  • Experience managing Bill of Materials
  • Experience managing non-conformance and recovery processes
  • Experience leading suppliers and assisting with supplier quality activities
  • Experience with leading and implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Strong skills with MS Office applications, including MS Project
  • Ability to interact with locations over different time zones and to travel up to 10% domestically to interact with internal and external business and technical leaders

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business
  • PMP Certification
  • Understanding of Agile program management practices, including Confluence JIRA Kanban boards and sprint management
  • Experience as a technical lead, managing small teams of engineers; ability to mentor and guide engineers
  • Experience designing manufacturing systems that have been successfully deployed at scale
