The Technical Project Manager (TPM) 2 supports and manages discrete technical construction scope, ensuring the timely completion of all project elements. This role oversees technical requirements; defines and manages project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risks; and supports, while at times leading, the project team in planning, tracking, and executing project scope from initiation through turnover. The TPM 2 manages project activities in alignment with the prime contract, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), and Department of Energy (DOE) Order 413.3B requirements. Work is organized into control accounts and corresponding work packages that define tasks necessary to meet programmatic objectives. Reporting to the Manager of Projects (MOP), the TPM 2 is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational management of an assigned project or program area. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and standards related to construction and work execution within a nuclear facility. The role also supports the development and monitoring of program budgets while providing technical guidance to project teams, support departments, and matrixed resources. All scope supported and managed by the TPM 2 is performed within a DOE Hazard Category 2, Security Classification 1 facility. Therefore, prior nuclear facility and/or laboratory experience is required, with an emphasis on recent and relevant experience supporting security and classification protocols within a Department of Energy (DOE) and/or National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) environment where active decontamination and decommissioning (D&D), construction, testing, and turnover activities were performed under Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 (NQA-1) requirements.
