About The Position

The primary duties of a Technical Project Manager II are to oversee the technical aspects of projects and be responsible for communication, schedule, budget, scope, and completion of engineering deliverables. These projects support our Microgrid offers/solutions such as low and medium-voltage switchgear, switchboards, and distributed energy resources (DERs) manufactured at our RTP and Randleman, NC facilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience in technical design and Project management roles
  • Bachelor’s in engineering or related field (will consider equivalent experience)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to critically analyze problems and develop effective resolutions
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Familiar with a variety of engineering disciplines – Mechanical, Electrical, systems, and software
  • Ability to quickly respond to change based on cross-functional inputs – adapting accordingly and positively
  • Proficient with M.S. Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
  • Experienced in using an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or MRP systems
  • Soft/interpersonal skills: communication (verbal and written), collaboration, ability to overcome roadblocks, and problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the power industry is a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as a single point of contact between the Production Engineering Team and other project stakeholders such as Manufacturing, Construction, Procurement, and Applications Engineers
  • Work closely with the DI Microgrid Engineering Disciplines, attend/schedule project-related meetings and design reviews.
  • Establish internal design schedules and milestones for various Product Development and High Visibility projects.
  • Coordinate closely and daily with the Production Engineering Teams for the engineering and documentation of the systems as defined in the project scope, including but not limited to record drawings and product specifications.
  • Conduct Design Reviews on deliverables before release to Manufacturing – Final Signoff before production release
