We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst for a part-time, project-based engagement focused on a payroll initiative. This role requires a blend of business analysis and project delivery skills, emphasizing strong documentation, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to translate complex business processes into clear, actionable requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at collaborating with both business stakeholders and technical teams, including engineers and AI architects.

Requirements

• Strong business analysis experience including requirements gathering, process documentation, and use case definition
• Project management experience including milestone tracking, risk logging, and stakeholder communication
• Technical fluency with the ability to work closely with engineers and translate between business and technical teams

Nice To Haves

• Experience within payroll, HR, or PEO environments
• Experience working on API-driven or automation-focused projects

Responsibilities

• Capture and document current-state payroll workflows, translating SME knowledge into clear, build-ready requirements
• Define and document variance threshold rules and checklist logic in collaboration with internal payroll stakeholders
• Develop functional and technical requirements for: Variance Detection, Checklist Validation and Case Management
• Track project progress, maintain status reporting, and communicate updates to executive stakeholders
• Coordinate UAT efforts and support pilot close activities
• Create SOPs and runbooks to support operational handoff
