Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience with Project management experience in software-based consumer or automotive products.
  • 5 years of experience with Developing software-based consumer or automotive products by developing functional use cases, test cases, and technical requirements.
  • 5 years of experience with Agile software development processes.
  • 3 years of experience with Software development using C, C++, Java or Kotlin.
  • 2 years of experience with Triaging issues using the logs captured from devices.
  • 2 years of experience with Using software configuration management tools.
  • 2 years of experience with Managing software releases to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead software teams to deliver on key project milestones and software releases per vehicle program timing.
  • Create program timing plans based on available resources and required features for software teams.
  • Work with cross-functional teams within the In-Vehicle Infotainment department and other teams within Ford to evaluate, develop, and clarify requirements.
  • Analyze and decompose requirements into consumable work tasks for software developers and testers.
  • Track and manage the software development and implementation of requirements for features by working with the software development and quality assurance teams.
  • Prioritize and drive software defects to closure to meet software release timing.
  • Evaluate incoming feature requests and identify future resource needs based on these requests.
  • Quantify feature release quality by evaluating projected software defect rate and number of open defects.
