Technical Program Manager

MolgSterling, VA
Onsite

About The Position

Molg is building robotic systems to make electronics manufacturing circular. They work with hyperscalers and leading electronics manufacturers to automate the design, manufacturing, disassembly, repair, reuse, and recovery of hardware. Using robotics, computational design, and AI, their systems aim to transform e-waste into resilient, data-driven supply chains and revolutionize electronics manufacturing. The Technical Program Manager will lead complex technical programs from concept through delivery, collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Business teams to ensure the right products are built and delivered with quality, speed, and predictability. This role requires deep expertise in software development programs and a strong systems mindset, with a primary focus on driving software execution while coordinating work across hardware, firmware, robotics, and manufacturing. While expertise in every discipline is not required, understanding how they integrate to build robotic systems is essential.

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading complex technical programs in fast-paced engineering organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of modern software development lifecycles and comfort partnering closely with software engineering teams throughout planning, development, testing, and release.
  • Strong systems perspective and understanding of how software interacts with hardware, firmware, robotics, and manufacturing to deliver integrated products.
  • Successfully managed multidisciplinary engineering programs involving hardware and software.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and facilitate productive conversations across diverse engineering disciplines.
  • Build credibility through technical curiosity, thoughtful communication, and strong execution—not formal authority.
  • Highly organized, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and energized by solving complex cross-functional challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in robotics, embedded systems, autonomous systems, industrial automation, IoT, or other complex physical products is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex technical programs from planning through successful delivery, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and priorities stay aligned.
  • Drive execution across Software, Robotics, Hardware, Firmware, Product, and Business teams.
  • Build and maintain integrated program plans that account for cross-functional dependencies across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Identify risks early, remove blockers, and proactively drive decisions before they impact delivery.
  • Facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, creating alignment around priorities, timelines, and trade-offs.
  • Partner with engineering leaders to balance scope, quality, and delivery schedules in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Establish lightweight, scalable program management practices that improve visibility and execution without adding unnecessary processes.
