About The Position

We have an opportunity for a Technical Program Manager. The Technical Program Manager works in conjunction with the New Production Introduction group as well as a multi-functional team of Design, Supplier Quality, Test, and Global Supply Chain Managers to ensure top quality products and drive perfection into what we do. In this highly visible technical lead role, you will be working with cross-functional teams and vendors to demonstrate your outstanding ability to combine knowledge of Optics, electronics, and projector module manufacturing with mechanics and manufacturing process / process controls / Automation and deliver results on a tight timeline is a requirement. Up to 25-30% domestic/international travel is expected.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial preferred), or graduate degree in supply chain and/or operations.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with design and/or manufacturing process development.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with factory operations, 5S, operator training, safety, and security.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: Metal forming Molding Precision pick and place Glue dispensing Laser welding Coil Winding Heat pressing Soldering Additive Manufacturing Machine Learning Fixture fabrication
  • Experience with compiling data and making recommendations for product designs and assembly drawings.
  • Use of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis using Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience using process control methodologies, PFMEA, and in-depth failure analysis methods.
  • Experience simulating line throughput and bottleneck resolution for high volume mass production.
  • Demonstrated program management capabilities: schedule management, written and verbal communication, risk management, and escalation.
  • Proven track record of leading a multi-functional team in order to achieve new product objectives inclusive of quality, yield, and cost.
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems in a timely fashion.
  • Experience working with international OEM partners.
  • Self-starter with innovation, integrity, and attention to details.
