As a Technical Program Manager, your job is to ensure the Sentinel ICBM propulsion systems meet warfighter requirements through 2075. As a Technical Program Manager, you provide the technical oversight necessary to modernize our nation's strategic deterrent. Join the LGM-35A Sentinel Booster Branch within the Flight Systems IPT. You will serve as a technical expert providing guidance and oversight across the acquisition lifecycle—from planning and development through testing and sustainment—to ensure the success of the program's propulsion systems.

Requirements

  • An accredited Bachelor or Master of Science in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field.
  • The ability to achieve and maintain a US DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • 7 years of experience in an engineering role (5 years with master’s degree), with direct exposure to solid rocket motors or aerospace vehicle propulsion.
  • Familiarity with solid rocket motor design, production and testing including flight testing.
  • Familiarity with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis including development and assessment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives and implement solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project status, updates, and key decisions to stakeholders through presentations, meeting, or reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, and collaboration, to foster teamwork and build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience with engineering/MBSE modeling tools, e.g., DOORS, SysML, MATLAB, Cameo, Jira.
  • ICBM Weapon System experience.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance across the acquisition lifecycle and evaluate the technical suitability of booster systems.
  • Develop and review MBSE architecture products and lead complex systems integration and interface definitions.
  • Conduct technical risk assessments, evaluate schedule impacts, and support Integration and Test (I&T) activities.
  • Partner with customers and prime contractors to align design phases with project requirements and present reports to stakeholders.
