About The Position
As part of the Global Technology Platform Program Management organization, you will join a team of Program Managers who are delivering exciting business application engineered cloud experience and enable them to deliver great application solutions for Walmart customers. You will also own critical workstreams for technology component and service work decomposition, execution plans, execution, feedback loops and transparency. You will work collaboratively with product management and engineering teams to ensure on time delivery with quality results. About the Global Technology Platform Program Management Team: The Global Technology Platform Program Management Team focuses on the execution of strategic initiatives in Global Technology Platform organization with alignment to Walmart Global Technology vision and direction. The team owns the execution rhythm to deliver high quality outcomes based on product roadmaps. The team also drives for organization transformation with Agile methodology.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of total work experience in a combination of technology development, program management, business analysis or strategy
- Knowledge of Cloud Platforms orchestration, architecture, capacity management, containers, monitoring, telemetry, application management and deployment.
- Knowledge and working experience in cloud and data technologies: container/Kubernetes, Platform as a Services, Big Data processing platforms (such as Dataproc), Messaging & Streaming services, Transactional and Non-Transitional Database
- Experience using product backlog management tools like JIRA and Confluence for planning, execution and release transparency
- Strong communication skills (oral, verbal and listening) as well as the ability to influence key decision makers and understand their points of view
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
- Option 2: 9 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Project Management.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area and 5 years’ experience in product design.
