About The Position

Stripe is seeking a product-focused Technical Program Manager to lead its Extensibility program across the Workflows, Custom Objects, and Scripts workstreams. This newly created, high-impact role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, product management, and cross-organizational program ownership. The role owns the direction, health, and outcomes of Stripe's Extensibility platform, setting program strategy with Developer Experience & Product Platform (DEeP) leadership and holding organizations accountable for success. The program brings together interconnected extensibility primitives: Scripts, a secure isolated TypeScript runtime for customizing product behavior; Custom Objects, user-defined data models with APIs, SDKs, and Dashboard experiences; and Workflows, a programmable orchestration layer for no-code and pro-code business logic. These efforts span more than ten cross-functional teams and culminate in a flagship product launch.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of technical program management experience, with demonstrated success driving complex cross-organizational programs.
  • Strong product sense and ability to understand enterprise customer needs.
  • Ability to communicate precisely and credibly with engineering, product, and executive audiences; translate complex technical trade-offs into strategic decisions; and drive alignment.
  • Ability to lead and align cross-functional teams, drive decisions, resolve conflict, and build consensus across organizations with competing priorities.
  • Proven track record of successful program delivery in complex technical environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in product management or product operations.
  • Experience with developer platforms, API products, or payment systems.

Responsibilities

  • Set the Extensibility program strategy in partnership with DEeP leadership and hold organizations accountable for program success.
  • Drive cross-organizational decisions among DRIs in Script Platform, Custom Objects, Apps, SDK, Observability, DevEx, and Versioning, resolving ambiguous integration and ownership questions across team boundaries.
  • Own the critical path to major launches by shaping scope, driving descoping decisions, and negotiating trade-offs across teams.
  • Influence product and engineering roadmaps by bringing a program-level perspective to team planning, addressing misalignment with the broader extensibility strategy, and advocating for cross-cutting investments.
  • Ensure ProServ and Partnerships requirements are represented in the roadmap with the same rigor as product requirements, and connect platform deliverables with the needs of teams serving and closing complex customers.
