About The Position

The Program Management Office (PMO) at Zoox is responsible for driving cross-functional program planning and execution. The L3 Program within PMO manages the optimal allocation and usage of the test fleet, operated nationwide with leading-edge hardware and software. This role is for early-career talent with a history of high performance and eagerness to apply skills to complex challenges. As a Technical Program Manager (6-month contract), you will work on well-defined projects to make an impact and grow into a leader who can run, improve, and expand program structures. This is an on-site role requiring five days per week in the office.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related discipline).
Demonstrated passion for learning and high potential for growth.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage projects, and show initiative.
Deep curiosity and interest in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or complex software and hardware systems.
Deep passion for a technical subject, demonstrated through academic or personal projects.
Tangible experience shipping projects that work (e.g., through student engineering competitions or hackathons).
Experience improving teamwork and collaboration within a team.

Nice To Haves

Internship experience in a technology company, program management, or a related field.
Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira.
Basic scripting or data analysis skills (e.g., Python, SQL).

Responsibilities

Work independently to gather and analyze information from various teams to create unified program management templates, helping to standardize how deliverables are tracked across the company.
Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering and product to define, structure, and track key program deliverables, ensuring critical initiatives are aligned and on track.
Identify opportunities for process automation and tooling improvements, building better dashboards and tools to enhance program reporting and efficiency.
Engage with the technical details of programs, participating in the review process for project-level deliverables to ensure they meet strategic intent.
Develop strong relationships with a wide range of teams, learning to communicate effectively and drive progress in a highly cross-functional environment.
