Idaho National Laboratory’s National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) is seeking a Technical Program Manager – Maritime to lead high-impact programs that accelerate the demonstration and deployment of advanced nuclear energy systems for maritime applications. In this role, you will unite national laboratories, federal agencies, industry partners, and multidisciplinary technical teams to move innovative reactor concepts from planning and design through testing and demonstration. You will oversee a portfolio of complex, rapidly evolving projects that may be managed by subordinate project managers. You will establish program priorities, monitor deliverables, coordinate operational planning and scheduling, and manage changes to achieve successful outcomes. You will also direct or support engineering projects involving new and upgraded facilities, develop research and engineering teams that help partners achieve their goals, and coordinate activities across laboratory organizations and facilities. As a principal interface with partners—including the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Department of War (DOW), and maritime industry—you will maintain strong customer relationships, communicate program status and risks, ensure compliance with laboratory requirements and standards, identify opportunities for program growth, and build teams capable of delivering transformative nuclear technologies safely, efficiently, and successfully.
