About The Position

As a Senior Technology Risk Program Manager, you will own programs designed to identify, assess, and reduce security risk across Indeed. You will partner closely with Security, Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance, and leadership teams to drive risk treatment and inform decisions about security risk, business priorities, and investment. In this role, you will operationalize security risk management at scale through an integrated approach spanning strategic, operational, and tactical risk, as well as security exceptions, helping teams make informed, timely decisions and manage risk consistently across the organization. You will apply deep security, risk, and compliance expertise to assess complex issues, identify systemic patterns, and develop informed recommendations that translate into scalable solutions, proportionate controls, and risk-informed standards. You will provide leadership with actionable visibility into material and emerging risks, treatment progress, trends, and decisions requiring attention, while using data, metrics, automation, artificial intelligence, and technology to improve risk visibility, operational efficiency, and proactive risk management at scale. You will also help foster cross-functional collaboration and strengthen risk management practices by mentoring partners and team members on risk judgment, security and compliance concepts, and effective program execution.

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of 14 years of related experience; or a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience.
  • Agile and adaptable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Proven experience influencing senior management and managing major cross-functional initiatives.
  • Skilled in handling multi-year, highly technical programs (e.g., infrastructure migration, platform programs, re-architecture).
  • Ability to communicate technical topics to a business audience, and business topics to technical teams.
  • Expertise in various product development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products through the software lifecycle, with metrics orientation and a customer-centric mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage large, complex programs, driving project delivery through engineering and product managers; step in to manage projects as needed.
  • Manage program teams to deliver value and collaborate with senior partners and other program managers to define and execute roadmaps.
  • Conduct risk assessments to ensure implementation plans meet partner requirements and strategic priorities.
  • Use effective communication to inform and influence business partners; proactively network across Indeed to advocate for program success.
  • Identify root causes of organizational problems or opportunities and partner with appropriate teams to implement timely solutions.
  • Mentor project teams and junior program/project managers to enhance their project management skills and close skill gaps.
  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional groups to ensure alignment and successful program execution.
