About The Position

We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to help drive technical results for key IT projects and programs across automations, artificial intelligence, enterprise systems, infrastructure, and networking. You'll manage execution end to end, from initial scoping and risk identification to stakeholder communication, while building the metrics and reporting that keep leadership informed on program, project, and system health. This role is a good fit for someone with solid technical grounding who wants to grow into a strategic, data-driven program management role within the IT department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field like Computer Science, Information Systems, OR a degree in a related field with a demonstrated passion for technology and IT operations.
  • 4+ years of program and project management experience within a technology environment managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role, such as IT support, systems administration, network operations, or other related technical disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical and operational data, build metrics, and use them to drive decisions and track program and project health.
  • Experience working directly with technical teams (engineering, infrastructure, networking, etc.) to translate business requirements into actionable project plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high detail orientation and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Occasional travel to other company sites may be required, up to 10% of the time.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CompTIA Project+, CAPM).
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL.
  • Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet).
  • Solid understanding of core IT Operations domains: networking, server administration (Linux/Windows), cloud services (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity.
  • Experience working with vendors to manage service delivery or support.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the successful execution of the IT program and projects, ensuring defined requirements are met, stay on schedule, and align with budget.
  • Manage relationships with IT customers, uphold service level agreements (SLAs), and monitor request satisfaction.
  • Own project deliverables and provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead execution across project tasks and work plans, partnering closely with senior team members, engineering, and operations counterparts.
  • Operate with a high degree of ownership and independent judgment.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to our IT, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Develop a working understanding of IT system and infrastructure performance, including networking and server/cloud environments.
  • Support incident response and after-action reviews.
  • Gather and analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement and track the impact of new initiatives.
  • Maintain a clear picture of system or process health that can be communicated to stakeholders.
  • Define project scope and track changes.
  • Identify, document, and monitor project risks.
  • Maintain and update project schedules, action items, and documentation.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal teams, gathering requirements and feedback.
  • Represent the services and technical capabilities of the IT team to business stakeholders.
