We are looking for talented engineers across teams at Apple in Operations to support both warehouse automation initiatives and new product launches. Designs and develops technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency, while driving down cost and meeting timelines. Bringing expertise to assess the right warehouse automation technology for each unique application, executing from inception through go-live with continuous improvement through equipment end of life. Provide early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products and packaging can be supported both from an equipment and process perspective. Failure/Data Analysis: Plans, develops and implements technically complex procedures for the testing and evaluation of soon to be released products and equipment. Travel domestically ~25% including travel internationally ~10%

Requirements

  • Meaningful experience (5+ years) in warehouse automation design and deployment for high volume fulfillment.
  • Meaningful experience (5+ years) in introducing products into manufacturing or high volume production.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
  • Excellent project management skills (Planning, Cost, & Delivery), experience working in a matrix organization.
  • Direct experience driving custom automation solutions.
  • Direct experience working with 3PL’s and international equipment vendors.
  • New product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience.
