Google•San Jose, CA
•$163,000 - $236,000

About The Position

As a Technical Program Manager on Google’s Demos Creative Technology team, you will lead complex, multidisciplinary engineering programs and manage them throughout their lifecycle, from requirements and schedules to risk management and stakeholder communications. You will help move Google’s product announcements into deployments at global customer centers on campus by developing and operationalizing a scalable model for reusing demos. This involves creating a pipeline to transition temporary event showcases into permanent installations across the global experience portfolio. You will partner with teams before product launches to identify reuse opportunities and align demos with long-term strategic goals, coordinating design, development, integration, and reliability teams. You will develop processes, tooling, workflows, third-party services, and partnerships to increase impact, reduce costs, and improve delivery speed. The role is part of the Core team, which builds technical foundations and central solutions for Google products and infrastructure.

  • Experience delivering events, product demos, physical-digital platforms, and interactive environments, including projects with AI integrations.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary delivery schedules, technical statements of work, and vendor contracts for software development.
  • Experience managing development of processes and custom tooling designed to enable and streamline scalable software or hardware development.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with modern interactive stacks, including knowledge of containerized deployments, compute fleets, and AVoIP networks.

  • Ability to build bridges and align siloed teams, such as event production, facilities, and software engineering.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and narrative synthesis skills tailored for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with go-to-market and marketing teams ahead of major product launches to design and manage an end-to-end pipeline for ingesting, re-engineering, and deploying event demos into permanent global briefing centers.

  • Direct external creative agencies, audiovisual integrators, and scenic fabricators as they convert temporary event stage properties into durable, enterprise-grade physical installations.
  • Establish operational readiness reviews and technical compliance rubrics to ensure deployed experiences meet privacy, security, reliability, and serviceability standards.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, including cycle-time reduction, cost savings, and asset reuse rates, to optimize the deployment framework across global installations.
  • Manage complex multidisciplinary engineering projects, including requirements, schedules, risks, stakeholder communications, and technical trade-offs.
  • Develop and operationalize processes, tooling, workflows, third-party services, and partnerships that scale demo reuse, reduce costs, and improve delivery speed.
