This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As a Technical Project Manager III, you independently own a complete project or work scope end to end. You build and own the project schedule, WBS, and resource plan; own the risk register and author the abatement plans; and drive cross-functional commitments with function leads, suppliers, and program managers; represent readiness and escalations to executive leadership with guidance. This role directly supports our National Security Space Launch contracts as part of the Customer Certification team within Mission Management. The team is a mixture of Program Managers and Systems Engineers tasked with obtaining and maintaining vehicle certification for both NSSL and NASA customer missions. The role directly supports the pedigree review planning and process scope necessary to verify hardware and software fabrication, assembly, inspection, test data, build paperwork, departures from engineering baseline, non-conformance data, test anomalies, and storage and transportation history of the New Glenn launch vehicle assigned to the specific mission. To be successful in this role, you will develop and maintain positive relationships across the New Glenn program and our US government partners at the US Space Force and NASA. You must be proactive in planning sophisticated products across many technical subject areas while also developing, delivering, and communicating results in support of government certification requests. You must have the resourcefulness and flexibility to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be an incredible team member!

Requirements

• B.S. in relevant technical area
• Experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary, fast-paced programs/projects.
• 5+ years industry experience in an aerospace quality and manufacturing environment
• Ability to travel within U.S. and abroad.
• Expertise with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA
• Experience with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS), configuration management tools (e.g., Windchill), and secure data-sharing platforms
• Experience with multi-dimensional data records for manufacturing, quality, configuration management, calibration records, work procedures, master equipment lists, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Top Secret clearance.

• Experience with assembly and integration of spacecraft/launch vehicles

Responsibilities

• Directly support the vehicle pedigree review and planning process, under the guidance of senior staff, to include planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities associated vehicle manufacturing, testing, and check outs with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders.
• Manage USG program/project resources, schedules, and budgets (labor and non-labor) to achieve Blue Origin business goals while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Lead customer facing meetings/reviews, including manufacturing audits and program planning meetings, to integrate USG into Blue Origin business rhythm.
• Work closely with technical engineering and manufacturing teams and support organizations to ensure successful integration/execution of customer requirements and deliverables.
• Create and use standard formats for data aggregation and reporting to executive leadership on readiness, escalations, help needs, and wins.
