About The Position

The Devices and Services Security, HW Sec team is responsible for ensuring devices such as Fire TV, Kindle, Ring, and eero protect customer data and build customer trust. This role involves defining security standards for various devices and verifying that these devices meet the security bar before customer launch. The Technical Program Manager will enhance the builder journey through a Secure Hardware Development Lifecycle and ensure security engineers enable business to ship securely without adding friction. Key responsibilities include engaging with various device businesses, understanding their roadmaps, and enabling them to ship securely based on business needs. This is an inherently cross-functional role requiring strong influencing skills, collaboration with engineering, business leaders, and legal teams across the devices business and security. The role demands hands-on involvement, a solid understanding of hardware security concepts, and the ability to drive mitigations and risk acceptance. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, technically adept, and thrives on solving challenges in partnership with teams across Amazon. They should be comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrate a high bias for action, invent & simplify, learn & be curious, dive deep, and ownership.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 2+ years of security-related professional experience

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of hardware security concepts
  • Strong knowledge of critical device components and how they interact with each other
  • Basic understanding of secure boot, anti rollback mechanisms, fault injection techniques
  • Basic understanding of crypto, public, private key pair, symmetric, asymmetric encryption, side channel attacks
  • Hands on AI usage experience including creating new agents to automate tasks
