About The Position

Quest Global is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead and drive Battery and Charging (B&C) programs. This role involves coordinating cross-functional engineering efforts across hardware, firmware, and systems teams, acting as a central point of contact for a horizontal workstream that supports the entire product portfolio. The position requires deep technical expertise in power and charging systems, the ability to work autonomously, manage offshore resources, and serve as the primary interface for client Directly Responsible Individuals (DRIs).

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management and hands-on experience within consumer electronics, development or validation of wearables, or hardware product development.
  • Deep technical depth and understanding of battery technologies, power management systems, charging architectures, and related testing protocols.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional hardware/firmware programs from concept through production.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex engineering results and issues into plain, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders and client DRIs.
  • Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycle (EVT/DVT/PVT), system validation, and quality processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority across geographically distributed teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with smart glasses, AR/VR wearables, or IoT consumer electronics.
  • Experience directly managing and optimizing the output of offshore engineering teams or distributed testing facilities.
  • Familiarity with RF/wireless systems (WiFi, BT/BLE), camera systems, audio pipelines, or sensor subsystems.
  • Provide technical guidance on prioritizing.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manually maintain, own, and drive end-to-end program execution for all cross-portfolio initiatives the Battery team is involved in (AI glasses, charging cases, AR accessories).
  • Apply deep technical expertise to independently evaluate engineering test results and verify alignment with program objectives, operating with high technical autonomy.
  • Oversee a dedicated offshore engineering team, ensuring balanced workloads and clear, concise deliverables, test results, and evidence.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client DRIs, providing clear, data-driven program status updates and explaining complex technical issues, roadmaps, and mitigation plans.
  • Partner with hardware engineering, firmware, systems validation, quality, and operations teams to gather and distribute status updates, ensuring the core B&C engineering team is not overloaded.
  • Proactively identify program gaps, parse complex engineering data, and translate findings to cross-functional contacts independently.
