Technical Product Manager - Platform

SumUpBoulder, CO
$180,000 - $205,000Onsite

About The Position

This role is crucial for the internal systems that power SumUp's operations and scaling in the US market, including billing, partner residuals, Salesforce, and GTM reporting. The primary focus is on consolidating legacy systems into a unified platform aligned with the global Acquisition motion. This is a new position responsible for end-to-end sales platform ownership in the US, requiring the individual to map current systems, build a roadmap, and collaborate across Engineering, Finance, Data, Sales, Ops, and GTM.

Requirements

  • Strong experience working with Salesforce as a product surface, including objects, flows, integrations, and GTM processes.
  • Proven track record of integrating multiple internal systems (CRM, billing engines, data warehouses, internal tools) rather than optimizing a single product in isolation.
  • Comfortable working with APIs, backend services, and data pipelines, with the ability to make informed tradeoffs.
  • Ability to query and interpret data using SQL or similar.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning Engineering, GTM, Finance, and Operations with multiple dependencies and stakeholders.
  • Ability to run agile product delivery end-to-end, from backlog management and writing epics to release planning, with distributed engineering teams.
  • Global experience with flexibility to work across timezones including Europe and South America.
  • Some travel required (<25%).

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the US platform roadmap across Salesforce, billing systems, partner residual tracking, internal tools, and key reporting surfaces, focusing on integration into the global SumUp platform and retiring legacy systems.
  • Map and continuously refine the end-to-end quote-to-cash and reporting flow, ensuring system reliability and data trustworthiness.
  • Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Data, Finance, Revenue Operations, and GTM leadership to understand pain points, define requirements, and balance short-term business needs with long-term platform transformation.
  • Translate data needs to Engineering and Analytics teams to streamline and communicate business and product requirements.
  • Produce and maintain a clear, shared map of all relevant US systems and flows (Salesforce, billing engines, partner residuals, internal tools, reporting) to drive cross-team alignment.
  • Define and manage agile product delivery rituals, including intake, backlog grooming, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder updates.
  • Identify and lead quick wins and longer-term integration work to demonstrate progress and reduce operational burden.
