About The Position

Bullhorn is seeking a Technical Product Manager/Operator to join a high-performing cohort of Product Managers and/or Architects. This role is responsible for delivering on the department's vision for a segment of the product line. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of modern product management disciplines and techniques, a broad technical understanding (software, data, networks, or systems), and the ability to thrive with both autonomy and accountability. The department's focus is on improving customer experience through tools that increase efficiency, accelerate implementation, and enhance the support experience. Occasionally, this role will also deliver customer-facing products, particularly those involving data and third-party integrations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, Product Ownership, Solution Architecture, Technical Delivery, or a similar technical role.
  • Enjoy building internal platforms and operational tools that improve business efficiency and ultimately enhance the customer experience, rather than focusing exclusively on customer-facing products.
  • Thrive in highly collaborative, technical environments where you partner closely with engineers, embrace ambiguity, and take ownership from product discovery through delivery.

  • Ideally, candidates will be based near one of our office locations or team hubs in Boston, MA, or St. Louis, MO, to support in-person collaboration and team meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Owning product discovery, including ROI analysis, prototyping, and other product management best practices
  • Being a vocal advocate to the department's Senior Vice President and Senior Director for areas of innovation in which we should invest
  • Managing the roadmap and delivery schedule
  • Working daily with a POD team consisting of two to three engineers, leveraging their strong functional and business knowledge. Together, the team will own the outcome.
  • Performing duties traditionally typical of a Product Owner or Delivery Manager, embracing cross-functional ownership and taking on responsibilities beyond a traditional Product Manager role.
