About The Position

WellnessLiving is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead and expand its ecosystem of third-party integrations, APIs, SDKs, and partner products. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio including workflow and platform integrations, developer-facing APIs, hardware and access-control partners, and financial systems, with a strong emphasis on payments. The ideal candidate will own payment gateway integrations and associated merchant workflows, requiring direct hands-on experience in payments integration. This generalist role demands the ability to delve into transaction lifecycles one week and analyze API documentation the next. The Technical Product Manager will act as a crucial liaison between engineering, external partners, and internal teams, serving as the company's expert on integration capabilities and limitations.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years as a technical product manager or product manager owning software integrations, APIs, or developer platform products.
  • Direct experience with payment gateway integrations (e.g., Stripe, Moneris, Square, Global Payments, Adyen), including transaction lifecycles, refunds and disputes, and merchant onboarding.
  • Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, SDKs, and authentication patterns.
  • Ability to read and assess third-party developer documentation independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to scope and deliver technical work with engineering teams, from requirements through release.
  • Familiarity with PCI-DSS, tokenization, and data security considerations in payment workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, particularly translating technical detail for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage several concurrent integration workstreams and prioritize effectively.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Ability to maintain consistent overlap with Eastern Time business hours.
  • Proven effectiveness in a remote setting, including asynchronous written communication with engineering and external partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience running pilot or beta programs for new integrations or physical device rollouts.
  • Exposure to POS terminal or card reader deployments (EMV, tap-to-pay, semi-integrated setups).
  • Background in SaaS platforms, integration marketplaces, or partner ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with the health, wellness, or fitness industry.
  • Hands-on technical background (software development, solutions engineering, or API development).

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for third-party integrations, API/SDK development, and technical partnerships, aligning with broader product and company goals.
  • Manage payment gateway integrations end-to-end, including scoping, rollout, merchant onboarding flows, and ongoing optimization. Act as the internal owner for transaction lifecycle questions.
  • Collaborate with engineering to scope and prioritize integration work.
  • Gather technical requirements from partners and customers for new integrations and enhancements.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, payment processors, and platform partners.
  • Evaluate new partners and conduct technical investigations into emerging integration opportunities.
  • Oversee the maintenance and improvement of developer-facing APIs and SDKs for performance, scalability, and developer satisfaction.
  • Design and run pilot and beta programs for new integrations and partner rollouts, gathering structured feedback for iteration before general availability.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on integration capabilities and constraints, supporting sales, support, and implementation teams.
  • Clearly communicate technical requirements, tradeoffs, and project status to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering to investigate and resolve complex integration issues raised by customers or partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing to accurately position integrations and technical products in external communications and release materials.
  • Track integration adoption, API reliability, and partner performance, prioritizing enhancements based on business impact.
