Technical Product Manager - (Integrated Solutions)

Motorola SolutionsIrvine, CA
$180,000 - $220,000Hybrid

About The Position

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Manager (TPM) to drive technical requirements, market adoption, and revenue growth of the Integrated Solutions product portfolio. This position reports to the Director of Product Management and involves translating complex defense requirements into turnkey solutions, system-level specifications, and intuitive operator experiences. The role requires a deep understanding of tactical RF networks, systems engineering, turnkey integrations, and MIMO mesh architectures. It bridges the gap between tactical systems integration requirements and engineering execution, focusing on systems-level integration with third parties, technical specification, and turnkey productization of core communications technology into fully integrated packages. The TPM will own complete technical requirements, end-to-end performance specifications, and user experience for these integrated configurations, defining KPIs, latency constraints, link-margin budgets, and system-level trade-offs. The position is based in Irvine, CA, with one day reporting to the West Los Angeles HQ on a hybrid schedule.

  • Minimum of 5 years of technical product management or systems engineering experience within the defense, aerospace, or wireless communications industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of wireless communications, RF systems, signal processing, software-defined radios (SDRs), mesh networking, or electromagnetic spectrum operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate high-level military or tactical use cases into logical and structured technical requirements.
  • Proven track record of influencing cross-functional engineering, operations, and sales teams without direct authority to meet rigid release dates.
  • Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
  • Successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

  • Strong systems-level thinking and the capacity to evaluate physical hardware trade-offs alongside firmware/software constraints.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an MBA from an accredited institution.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices and managing complex backlogs using tools like Jira.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the technical lifecycle and release schedules of integrated solutions from concept to operational deployment.
  • Responsibility for product adoption and collaborating with sales to generate interest and revenue growth.
  • Capturing customer and field feedback for product updates.
  • Bridging the gap between R&D, engineering, operations, and GTM teams to align product execution with business strategy.
  • Translating operator feedback, program office specifications, and competitive intelligence into actionable feature priorities.
  • Supporting defense integrators and system engineers in validating plug-and-play integrations of Silvus turnkey solutions.
