Technical Product Manager, II - Autonomy

Torc RoboticsAnn Arbor, MI

About The Position

At Torc, we believe that autonomous vehicle technology will transform how we travel, move freight, and do business. Torc is a leader in autonomous driving since 2007, and has spent over a decade commercializing its solutions with experienced partners. Now a part of the Daimler family, Torc is focused solely on developing software for automated trucks to transform how the world moves freight. The Technical Product Management (TPM) Team drives alignment through a technology roadmap, accelerating corporate milestones by focusing development teams on the most critical items. This is achieved through cross-functional coordination with all teams in technology: driving decisions, defining measurable acceptance criteria, and building shared accountability with stakeholders to agree on deliverables and timelines. TPMs collaborate with other TPMs to manage dependencies to deliver corporate milestones. By rallying around a plan, TPMs predict outcomes before they happen: unblocking dependencies in advance, managing risk proactively, and anticipating resource or staffing gaps to accomplish goals. As plans or goals update, TPMs leverage best practices around change management, further driving alignment, decision making, and documentation across Torc. Lastly, TPMs partner with engineering teams to maintain accountability, providing clear updates and shared action items that help everyone stay informed on the health of the technology roadmap.
