About The Position

The Technical Product Manager owns the product strategy and roadmap for a pod spanning four related disciplines: Developer Platform, Developer Experience, AI Platform, and AI Experience. This role treats the pod's offerings as products and isolved's engineers as customers - conducting discovery with development teams, prioritizing investments across all four disciplines based on real pain and measurable impact, and driving adoption of platform capabilities and AI tooling across the engineering organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • 2+ years managing platform, developer tools, AI/ML, or internal/technical products with engineers as the primary customer
  • Demonstrated experience owning a roadmap and shipping outcomes against it
  • Strong technical fluency - able to participate credibly in architecture and engineering tradeoff discussions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a track record of evangelizing internal products
  • Internal Developer Platforms (Backstage or equivalent) and platform-as-a-product practices
  • AI developer tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) and driving their adoption
  • CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and modern cloud architectures (Azure preferred)
  • Developer productivity measurement (DORA, DX Core 4, SPACE, getDX, or similar)
  • Vendor evaluation and build-vs-buy analysis for developer tooling
  • Establishing and running platform intake, prioritization, and adoption programs
  • Communicating platform ROI and business cases to senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the multi-quarter product roadmap across Developer Platform, Developer Experience, AI Platform, and AI Experience, ensuring alignment with engineering and business priorities.
  • Prioritize investments across platform and AI domains, making transparent tradeoffs based on developer pain points, business impact, technical risk, and team capacity.
  • Partner with architecture and engineering leadership to translate strategic goals (e.g., AI adoption, developer productivity, cycle time improvements) into a clear and actionable product backlog.
  • Lead customer discovery with engineering teams, treating developers as end users through interviews, journey mapping, and ongoing feedback channels.
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative insights (usage data, feedback, metrics) into well-defined opportunity areas and platform investments.
  • Drive adoption of platform capabilities and AI tooling by leading internal launches, demos, training sessions, and engagement initiatives across engineering teams.
  • Define and own developer-facing documentation strategy, ensuring documentation is intuitive, accessible, and treated as a core part of the product experience.
  • Establish and track key success metrics, including adoption, developer satisfaction, and productivity (e.g., DORA metrics, DX scores), and use them to inform roadmap decisions.
  • Own product strategy for AI Platform and AI Experience, including evaluation of AI tools, identification of use cases, and alignment with security, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, architecture, security, and product teams to drive platform adoption, manage dependencies, and represent the platform in decision-making forums.
