About The Position

We are seeking a results driven Technical Product Manager to join our Great American Software Lab within P&C IT. This role will assist leadership in driving strategy, prioritization, and delivery for our Cube API team. The Cube API team is directly positioned between our core PAS systems and our consumers. The Technical Product Manager role is critical to drawing alignment on business needs and integration patterns to meet those needs. Great American’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site a minimum of two days a week, with the potential to work three days remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday and Thursday but will be determined by business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience that includes experience in Technical Product Management.
  • Strong understanding of product development and development framework -- ideally Extreme Programming.
  • Exhibits analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze data to drive problem solving and decision-making.
  • May own product strategy and execution, ensuring alignment between customer needs, business goals, and technology capabilities.
  • Exhibits business knowledge and the ability to identify and define business needs including an understanding of the organization's business and technology operations.
  • Demonstrates strong customer focus by being responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate in work approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Lean methodologies preferred.
  • User-Centered Design certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements.
  • Translates business needs into technical specifications and user stories.
  • Defines and drives product strategy by aligning business objectives with long-term technical innovation, ensuring scalability and future-proofing product decisions.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies, architecture decisions, and integration approaches to optimize performance, security, and system compatibility.
  • Oversees the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch.
  • Works with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries.
  • Communicates product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Advocates for the end-user by ensuring that products are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet high standards of quality.
  • Partners with the UX team to conduct usability testing and gathers user feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Leverages technical knowledge to make informed decisions about product architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Partners with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Tracks and analyzes product performance metrics, identifies areas for improvement, and implements changes to optimize product performance.
  • Partners closely with stakeholder teams to minimize dependencies and ensure alignment on objectives and timelines.
  • Fosters a collaborative environment by working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination between departments to ensure successful product launches.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
