About The Position

Jerry.ai is seeking a Technical Product Manager for AI Engineering & Systems to lead their customer-facing Agentic AI product. This role involves leveraging LLMs, agents, and internal APIs to enhance customer experience and working with partners like OpenAI to integrate Jerry.ai services into the ChatGPT App. The company is a pre-IPO startup with significant funding, customer traction, and profitability. The position offers accelerated career growth due to a flat organizational structure and ambitious goals, with the role reporting directly to the COO. Jerry.ai aims to revolutionize the ownership experience of cars and homes by managing all aspects of the journey, from purchase to sale, including insurance, maintenance, and repairs. The company has a strong foundation in generative AI, having built its own infrastructure for sales and service automation, which now handles a significant portion of customer interactions. This role is crucial for addressing the complexity of managing prompts across multiple locations and defining the roadmap for future AI advancements like voicebot, computer vision, and consumer AI applications.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in a technical role like forward deployed engineering, technical product management, or similar at a fast-paced startup.
Passion and curiosity for AI systems including modern LLMs, etc.
Track record of taking complex, strategic ideas and turning them into scalable, production-grade products.
Technologist: Lives and breathes AI, reads release notes for new models, and has built custom workflows.
Systems Thinker: Comfortable diving into technical conversations about API design and system architecture, translating complex concepts for any audience.
Experimenter: Thinks in terms of what's possible and constantly tinkers with new AI capabilities.
Data-Driven: Familiar with SQL and comfortable diving into data to answer questions and validate hypotheses.
Pragmatic: Able to navigate technical tradeoffs and lead by example when implementing AI platform standards.

Responsibilities

Define the strategy for migrating prompts from six locations onto a unified platform, sequencing the work, aligning engineering, data, operations, and other teams on the plan, and driving execution.
Own the technical prioritization queue for the chatbot, keeping the team coordinated and moving without adding process overhead.
Track voicebot and computer vision technologies to identify opportunities for investment.
Own the OpenAI relationship and Jerry's presence in the ChatGPT store.
Bring a point of view and influence AI investment decisions.
Learn the prompt engineering workflow through writing and updating prompts.
Understand how various tech stacks (e.g. Propelix, Botly, CRM, GitHub, and Replit) interact.
Identify bottlenecks in the current AI platform.
