Job Purpose Research and vehicle development testing for ride, handling, steering, braking, fuels, stability control, and/or all-wheel drive. Primary owner for high value vehicle dynamics test equipment and test execution, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of vehicle dynamics data to support development, validation, and research activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 0-6 years of hands-on experience in vehicle dynamics testing, specialized test equipment operation, or automotive test environments.
  • Technical knowledge of vehicle dynamics test systems and instrumentation.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical, electrical or system-level issues.
  • Effective communication skills for working with engineers, technicians, and management.
  • Proficiency with standard documentation and reporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and technically steward specialized vehicle dynamics test equipment, ensuring readiness, reliability, and data integrity across all assigned testing.
  • Plan, execute, and support vehicle dynamics tests in coordination with multiple groups.
  • Serve as technical point of contact for equipment capability, limitations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Train, mentor, and develop backup operators or technical support personnel to ensure continuity of critical capabilities.
  • Support cross functional initiatives, process improvements, and documentation related to test execution, safety, and equipment stewardship.
