About The Position

The Technical Operator is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues on packaging line equipment while minimizing interruptions to production. When maintenance issues are not being addressed, the operator is also expected to operate equipment regularly. The role works a second shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with overtime as required, and includes a $1.25 shift differential. The stated hourly pay rate is $24.80; additional compensation may include shift differentials, premium pay, bonuses, or other forms of compensation depending on role and location. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws.

Requirements

Two to three years of current or recent production operation or industrial maintenance experience.
Knowledge of manufacturing and packaging equipment, including mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.
Knowledge of hand and power tools.
Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, and math skills.
Intermediate to advanced troubleshooting skills.
Must follow all safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Vocational or technical coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust packaging line equipment.
Clean and change over packaging line equipment as necessary while minimizing downtime.
Perform Time Based Maintenance (TBM) tasks on equipment.
Operate packaging line equipment.
Follow and maintain equipment centerlines.
Perform basic to intermediate mechanical activities.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
