About The Position

DXC Technology is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist to provide technical support services, respond to issues, and assist in various tasks. This entry-level role involves contributing to projects and tasks under supervision, collaborating with the team to address challenges, and supporting the development of documentation. The specialist will also be involved in quarterly IT reviews, handling password resets, reviewing terminated users for mainframe access, managing print jobs, and monitoring ticket queues. Continuous learning and adherence to best practices are essential for this role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 2+ years of relevant work experience
• A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support services, responding to issues and assisting in tasks.
• Contribute to projects and tasks under supervision.
• Work with the team to address challenges and meet departmental needs.
• Support the development of documentation, including incident logs and records.
• Continue to develop and enhance technical skills.
• Follow established best practices and standards in service delivery.
• Assist in client’s quarterly IT review (consumes significant time during review months).
• Work ServiceNow tickets for mainframe password resets.
• Review daily terminated users and identify any with Mainframe Access.
• Perform weekly process for terminated users.
• Print AP Checks/Solimar Print Server sign in and release the print after checks loaded to printer.
• Monitor ServiceNow ticket queues and assign tickets that come into the Mainframe Support queue.
• Process Affected Units List (AUL) requests, which involves plugging in parts, running a process to produce a report, and formatting/sending the report.
