Technical Marketing Manager

SentinelOne
•$108,000 - $149,000

About The Position

The Technical Marketing Manager owns the technical story for SentinelOne’s Singularity Platform and related products, including Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, AI Security, the Autonomous SOC, Singularity Endpoint, Singularity Cloud, Singularity Identity, Singularity AI-SIEM, Purple AI, and Prompt Security. The role focuses on earning the attention of security practitioners and technical influencers before a buying process begins. It is distinct from Product Marketing, which owns market story, segmentation, positioning strategy, pricing, launches, and the business case. The position combines hands-on technical work with content development, demos, technical positioning, program management, and cross-functional collaboration. The manager takes medium- to high-impact projects from concept through delivery, builds and tests their own environments, and turns technical capabilities into accurate, customer-centered narratives. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Passion for cybersecurity and genuine interest in understanding how products work under the hood.
  • Hands-on technical depth, including the ability to build and maintain a lab and demo environment, run tests, read detection logic, and discuss technical matters with detection engineers and threat researchers.
  • Working knowledge of endpoint, cloud, identity, and data security, and familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK.
  • 3 to 5 years of directly related experience, or 4 to 6 years of general professional experience, in technical marketing, sales engineering, solutions architecture, product management, or a hands-on security operations role.
  • Strong technical storytelling skills in writing and demos, including editing and simplifying complex concepts without reducing them to generic marketing language, and credibility when presenting to practitioners.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines and proactively communicate risks or delays.
  • Collaborative, low-ego approach; ability to work across teams with competing priorities, build technical partnerships, and maintain a positive, problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to work independently within established procedures, take content or demos from idea to publication with light manager input, maintain a consistent delivery cadence, and create reusable frameworks.
  • Growth mindset, willingness to experiment, data-driven judgment, persistence with difficult problems, and commitment to delivering agreed work.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a technical marketing engineer or sales engineer is preferred, but not essential if equivalent technical depth and demonstrated demo-building, content, and positioning skills are shown.

Responsibilities

  • Lead one or two medium- to high-impact projects while contributing to other projects, developing demos, content, and technical thought leadership for security practitioners.
  • Own and communicate the technical value proposition for assigned work, including technical benefits, integrations, security features, performance metrics, and customer-centered positioning.
  • Create and review technical content such as white papers, technical blogs, solution briefs, deployment and integration guides, technical articles, FAQs, and reference architectures; ensure accuracy and build reusable materials.
  • Develop demos, demo scenarios, webinars, and videos end to end, including setting up and testing the required environments and preparing final edits.
  • Design realistic attack and threat simulations that illustrate customer outcomes and create practitioner-focused content from public testing such as MITRE ATT&CK Evaluations.
  • Plan and manage the calendar and delivery of assigned work, coordinating content, community activity, and thought leadership around launches, threat events, and practitioner interests; track deliverables and dates and follow up with contributors.
  • Use content performance, demo telemetry, field feedback, and search behavior to inform what to create or retire.
  • Collaborate with product management, product engineering, detection engineering, threat research, product marketing, sales engineering, analyst and media relations, and competitive and market intelligence teams.
  • Present work at webinars, user groups, and partner engagements as opportunities arise, and participate in security practitioner communities.
  • Bring deployment and evaluation feedback from labs, proofs of concept and value, competitive bake-offs, and architecture and design reviews to product management and engineering.
