About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead with a strong background in Java and Spring Boot to guide an engineering team and manage enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering, team leadership, and cloud infrastructure, particularly within regulated industries like financial services or automotive. This role involves designing and building robust microservices, managing cloud environments, and ensuring adherence to compliance requirements. You will be responsible for the technical direction of the team, code quality, and the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional programs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams and managing enterprise applications.
• 4+ years of experience in AWS.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 to 3 years leading an engineering team and taking accountability for technical direction.
• Track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban in a scaled enterprise setting.
• Working knowledge of financial services compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, SOX, and data privacy regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Background in financial services, automotive, or a similarly regulated industry is an advantage.
• Solid experience with legacy modernization, including platform re-platforming or migration programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering team and take accountability for technical direction and output.
• Write and review production-quality backend services and code alongside the team.
• Design and build APIs, integration flows, and connectors using Mulesoft.
• Design microservices architecture that is well-bounded, independently deployable, and resilient.
• Manage cloud infrastructure through tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Own and contribute to deployment pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Build and maintain component libraries in an enterprise application context.
• Present technical decisions clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
