Technical Lead/Solutions Architect

CapTech ConsultingOmaha, NE
Onsite

About The Position

CapTech is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect to lead the charge in transforming a mission-critical commercial application from its legacy foundations (including Citrix-based components) into a cloud-ready, containerized powerhouse. This is not a role for a sideline strategist. You will be the "player-coach" at the heart of the engineering team -setting the technical vision, architecting the solution, mentoring the team, and ensuring engineering excellence from the first line of code to the final deployment. With the client technical team and architects, pioneer the modernization roadmap, architect the end-to-end technical vision for migrating the client’s core application to a modern stack. You help create the strategy for de-coupling services and charting the path to a scalable, microservices-based architecture running on Kubernetes.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in large-scale IT infrastructure or modernization initiatives.
  • Must be local to Omaha, NE and able to go onsite up to 5 days per week.
  • Proven track record as a Technical Lead or Solutions Architect, with deep, hands-on experience designing and delivering large-scale IT projects and/or application modernization.
  • Expert-level knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is essential.
  • Deep expertise in system design, microservices architecture, and modern development best practices.
  • Strong polyglot programming skills, with mastery of languages like Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript and their associated frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing modern SDLC processes, including robust CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control (Git).
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and inspiring technical teams in an Agile environment.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent real-world experience).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
