About The Position

At Litera, our engineering teams build solutions that help legal professionals work more efficiently, accurately, and intelligently. As a Tech Lead, Engineering, you will play a critical role in transforming product vision into scalable, reliable, and AI-powered experiences that drive customer value. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, helping teams deliver high-quality software while advancing engineering excellence, operational maturity, and innovation. Your contributions will directly influence product performance, team effectiveness, and Litera’s ability to deliver market-leading solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of software development experience with a strong full-stack engineering background.
  • Proven experience leading technical initiatives while remaining an active contributor to software delivery.
  • Deep expertise in at least one backend technology stack, such as .NET or Laravel.
  • Strong experience building modern web applications using TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
  • Experience designing and scaling cloud-native applications and distributed systems in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working across multiple backend platforms, including both .NET and Laravel.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or other production-scale data platforms.
  • Experience working in globally distributed teams and leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

  • Improve product quality and reliability by championing automation, testing strategies, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Transform complex business challenges into practical technical solutions that accelerate customer value and product adoption.
  • Advance Litera’s AI capabilities through the design and optimization of agent workflows, evaluation frameworks, and intelligent automation solutions.
  • Enhance visibility into system and AI-agent performance through effective monitoring, telemetry, and data-driven decision making.
  • Foster strong collaboration across Product, Architecture, DevOps, and Quality Engineering to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
