Technical Lead .NET Developer
About The Position
OnTrac is seeking a Technical Lead .NET Developer to own enterprise .NET applications for a financial-services customer in Las Vegas. This is a hands-on lead role involving application ownership, solutioning, production troubleshooting, and leadership of a distributed onsite and offshore development team. The role diagnoses and resolves complex production issues, supports and enhances existing and legacy applications, drives technical improvements, and communicates with business and technology stakeholders. It is intended for a self-starter who takes ownership and can work independently as the onsite lead. The position is onsite in Las Vegas, Nevada, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area and be authorized to work in the United States. The expected start is ASAP; the engagement is described as long term and full-time or contract.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, plus 12 or more years of IT experience after completing it.
- At least 8 years of software development experience with strong hands-on C#, .NET, and .NET Core.
- At least 3 years as a Technical Lead or Lead Developer.
- Strong hands-on production troubleshooting and application support experience, including root cause analysis and technical escalations.
- Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise and legacy applications in production.
- Experience with .NET Core, Web API, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience.
- Experience with cloud environments and Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Knowledge of software architecture patterns, object-oriented design, and testing principles.
- Experience leading and coordinating onsite and offshore teams.
- Strong communication skills with business and technical stakeholders.
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise .NET applications.
- Own production troubleshooting, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and technical escalations.
- Provide hands-on support for complex production issues and drive them to resolution.
- Provide technical solutioning for business requirements, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
- Act as the technical point of contact for business and technology stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate a distributed onsite and offshore development team.
- Analyze existing applications and identify technical and architectural improvements.
- Apply engineering and architecture best practices to build scalable, highly available systems.
- Mentor developers on system design, coding standards, and engineering practices.
- Identify technical bottlenecks and risks and recommend solutions.
- Lead code reviews and ensure the quality of technical deliverables.
- Estimate development effort and support planning and on-time delivery.
- Work closely with QA, Product, and other technology teams through development, deployment, and production support.
